Engine 153 is a 1994 HME/Laverne rescue pumper which has a 1500 GPM pump, a 1000 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam. This rescue engine is the primary fire suppression and rescue vehicle for the Station No. 2 response area. With all of the equipment needed for firefighting, this engine also carries a wide variety of rescue tools needed for auto vehicle accidents. Some of the equipment includes hydraulic spreaders, rams and cutters, high and low pressure air bags and various hand tools. With a totally enclosed pump panel, the engineer can operate in all extremes of weather and provide a climate controlled rest area for the firefighter. This engine responds to Sauk Village with automatic aid.

The brush truck is small enough to go off road and track down hard to access fires. This truck also has the capabilities of refilling from an engine or tender on scene to continue the fire fight without having to go to a fire hydrant.
